Is Vexa a competitor to Fireflies.ai?
For some teams. Fireflies is a hosted note-taker with AI chat and agents, in its cloud. Vexa is open source: it keeps the transcript, plus knowledge and agents (early), on servers you run.
Can I keep my meeting data on my own infrastructure?
With Vexa, yes: it runs on your servers. Run your own transcription unit, and recording, transcription and storage happen there. Fireflies’ Enterprise plan can store data in your bucket, but it is processed on its servers in the US.
Does Vexa have AI meeting summaries like Fireflies?
On a self-hosted Vexa, an agent drafts the write-up after the call, and a person approves it (early). Or write summaries with the model you choose, through MCP or your own code.
